Overall - Meh, it serves its purpose
Demographics:
I travelled alone with the 3 kids and spent 2 nights, 3 days in Niagara Falls, Canada. We used the waterpark each of the 3 days and spent time in the indoor arcade area as well as walking the strip of Clifton Hill.
The Area:
This hotel is located across the street from the waterpark which is accessible via the skywalk. Once you're in the waterpark, all of the attached hotels, as well as the arcade, Rainforest Cafe, etc are all accessible. However, because the skywalk attaches to the waterpark within the park itself (under the slides, super wet!), it is only available while the waterpark is open. You are also unable to carry food or wear shoes while travelling through. In short, it's not as convenient a location as it at first seems. It took us until the final day to figure out that the parking garage external access to the hotel at street level was on 4th floor! Once we figured that out, we were much happier with the location. The waterpark itself was great! The kids had a really fun time. However, note that you likely won't want to pay the exorbitant food prices there and will want time away for that. But since you're able to use the park 2 hours early which is less busy, and later hours are also less busy, that worked out well to go out for food.
The Hotel:
In general, the hotel was decent. It was quite dated, but fairly clean. The indoor courtyards were charming and included movies on Saturday night (may want to avoid that area if you're not interested as it went quite late and was very loud). We were there during March break so it was filled with loud and boisterous children. I think that's probably fairly normal given that it's attached to the waterpark.
The Rooms:
We had a King bed and bunk bed which was a great arrangement for our family. Lots of space! Note that towels for the waterpark are not included so you need to bring your own. The biggest downside (for us) is that many of their rooms are adjoining and in our particular case, the neighbors were very loud until very late at night. I've never actually had to ask someone to be quiet in a hotel before but I did here! Unfortunately, the walls and door are paper thin because when I asked them to quiet down, I barely had to raise my voice and they apologized (though they kept going and I had to ask a second time! LOL). We could literally hear everything they said, including when the kids said they wanted to go to bed but then didn't!
The Waterpark:
The kids had a fantastic time at the waterpark. It's small enough they could do most things on their own, given their ages. It was insanely busy, but we expected that with March Break. We went for 2 nights, 3 days to be able to only hit the off-hours and that worked out perfectly. In a busy time, I'd highly recommend that. With the inclusive waterpark pass for the hotel, you receive early entry which is the least busy period. You also receive some free tickets for indoor attractions attached to the complex which everyone enjoyed. I think it would be hard to do everything in the waterpark on a super busy March Break single day.
Entertainment:
In addition to the free passes to attractions in the indoor area, along with the waterpark, the hotel offered free movies on Saturday evening. That went really late and was a movie for young kids so I think it missed the mark. Otherwise, Clifton hill has lots of great attractions including packages for groups of activities. The 4D movie and shooting ride packages were particularly fun. We tried two of them and enjoyed both. You're pretty much always getting out your wallet away from the waterpark so instead of being what you make of it, it's you get what you pay for.
